Mark Boey's installation operates as a sophisticated spatial narrative encoding multiple layers of cultural meaning through its deliberate orchestration of formal contrasts and symbolic vocabularies. The tripartite vertical organization invokes archetypal cosmological structures found across traditions—celestial realm above, terrestrial middle ground, foundational earth below—positioning the viewer within a microcosmic representation of universal spatial order. The cloud motifs populating the upper register carry accumulated associations with transcendence, imagination, ephemerality, and aspiration, their organic undulating forms suggesting both meteorological phenomena and mental states of reverie or creative ideation. The central mountain emerges as axis mundi, the sacred world-center connecting earthly and heavenly domains, a symbol appearing throughout human cultures as representation of spiritual ascent, achievement, and the meeting point of mortal and immortal realms. The cascading waterfall introduces symbolism of perpetual flow, purification, life-force, and the dynamic transformation of potential energy into kinetic manifestation—water descending from heights suggesting both natural abundance and the channeling of elevated inspiration toward earthly application. The solar disc positioned at compositional zenith radiates archetypal solar symbolism: illumination, consciousness, vitality, and the generative principle that activates growth and visibility. The threshold portal outlined in cyan light at left activates liminal symbolism—the doorway as transition point between states, realms, or conditions, inviting passage from ordinary into extraordinary experience. The contrast between organic curvilinear forms and geometric angular elements encodes broader dialectics between nature and technology, intuition and rationality, organic growth and constructed order. The aerial landscape view within the organic frame introduces cartographic consciousness, the elevated perspective that enables navigation and understanding of territorial expanse, suggesting journey, exploration, and the expanded horizons that transformative experiences facilitate. The chromatic progression from cool white through deep blue to white again creates contemplative rhythm suggesting emergence from and return to clarity through immersive depth.
MG interactive AR projection sculpture, inside a car dealership. Untitled Studios created a playful, fun, and engaging in-store experience. The AR Projection-Mapping represents the electricity, and the sculpture portrays reality. When the two meet, they create an exhilarating experience and educate the shopper at the same time. When the projector is turned off, one can see an elegant white sculpture on the wall.
