Spiderweb Key Visual

Golden A' Design Award Winner 2021

Golden rope radiating outward in web-like formation carries rich symbolic resonance, evoking the spider as archetypal weaver and architect, whose patient construction represents creativity, interconnection, and the strength found in networked structures rather than solid mass. The choice of gold for these filaments amplifies associations with value, permanence, and solar energy, transforming what might seem a trap into a supportive cradle that elevates and presents rather than ensnares. The boot positioned at the web's center assumes the role of treasured object, a prize or achievement held aloft by invisible engineering principles borrowed from nature's master builders. The hexagonal pattern created by the web's geometry echoes the cellular structures found throughout the natural world, from honeycomb to molecular bonds, suggesting fundamental organizational principles that transcend scale. Leather, as a material derived from animal hide, connects the manufactured object to organic origins, while the technical mesh elements represent synthetic innovation, together embodying the hybrid nature of contemporary design that honors tradition while embracing advancement. The deep green-black void surrounding this central drama functions as liminal space, an undefined realm from which meaning and value emerge through the act of presentation and illumination. The suspended particles populating this atmosphere suggest cosmic dust or the particulate matter visible in shafts of light, lending the scene qualities of revelation and discovery. The diagonal orientation of the web structure creates dynamic energy, resisting stasis while the boot's vertical thrust asserts stability and groundedness. This tension between movement and permanence, between nature's organic geometry and human purposeful design, invites contemplation of how innovation often proceeds through careful observation and translation of principles already present in the natural world, waiting to be recognized and applied.

The main idea was to create something that brings all the attention to the product, using less elements as possible and creating some connection with the target public at the same time. The web element also refers to the grip of the shoe and his wild nature, bringing a personification to the product. The mood also transmits technology, present on the shoe essence and a pinch of a mystical language that comes with the spider web element that also represents the shoesole grip.
