Have a Nice Can Food Packaging

Golden A' Design Award Winner 2022

The chromatic strategy of warm marigold orange functions as a powerful symbolic carrier, traditionally associated across numerous cultures with abundance, hospitality, generosity, and solar vitality, positioning these preserved goods within frameworks of celebration and gift-giving rather than mere sustenance. The fish illustrations operate as multivalent signifiers, connecting to ancient symbolism of abundance through the miraculous multiplication, good fortune in numerous traditions, and the specific cultural heritage of maritime communities whose identity intertwines with oceanic harvest. The house-shaped carrier packages invoke archetypal shelter symbolism, suggesting homecoming, domestic warmth, and the hearth as sacred center where food transforms from provision to communion. The geometric vocabulary of clean rectangles and precise typography communicates contemporary values of clarity, efficiency, and rational organization while the hand-rendered quality of the fish illustrations introduces counterbalancing warmth, suggesting human touch amid systematic production. The bilingual text elements create bridges between linguistic communities, perhaps encoding values of cultural exchange and international appreciation. The kraft paper materiality carries strong connotations of authenticity, naturalness, and environmental consciousness, positioning the brand within contemporary ethical consumption frameworks. The rope handles on carrier packages evoke nautical traditions, reinforcing maritime heritage while their functional presence suggests journey and transport, the gift traveling from giver to receiver. The overall composition, presenting multiple packages in generous abundance, creates visual rhetoric of plenty, positioning the brand as source of sustained nourishment and repeated pleasure rather than singular consumption.

The package consists of individual packaging sleeve, gift bag of 3 cans, gift box of 6 cans, 9 cans and 12 cans. A Handle of gift bag uses a rope that resembles a fishing port. Gift boxes are made up of bright orange (representing the sun) and blue (representing the sea). Since fish illustrations are placed in both side of package sleeve, they can be connected the patterns endlessly by arranging them side by side so they can use as a store display which direct the boundless sea.
