Platinum A' Design Award Winner 2023
The visual language of 27 Design's animated frame operates within rich symbolic territories where the pencil functions as an archetypal emblem of creative potential, transformation, and the uniquely human capacity to manifest imagination into tangible form. The extreme scale relationship between the modest tool and the enormous eyes surrounding it inverts typical hierarchies, suggesting that instruments of creation possess significance far exceeding their physical dimensions when viewed through the lens of childhood wonder. The upward-pointing graphite tip may evoke associations with aspiration, direction, and purposeful intent, while its positioning along the central vertical axis creates a compositional column reminiscent of axis mundi symbolism connecting earthly creation with higher inspiration. The large, reflective eyes function as traditional windows to inner experience, their exaggerated scale amplifying the symbolic weight of perception, attention, and the receptive state necessary for creative engagement. The warm chromatic envelope of peachy flesh tones and coral hues traditionally associates with comfort, nurturing, and emotional safety, establishing the creative act as occurring within a protected psychological space. The number visible on the pencil may carry numerological resonances of partnerships and duality, perhaps suggesting the collaboration between tool and user, thought and expression, or imagination and realization. The shallow focus that dissolves the peripheral world into soft abstraction symbolically privileges the immediate relationship between creator and instrument, suggesting that authentic creative engagement requires this quality of concentrated presence where external distractions fade into irrelevance.
Children's imagination is always wonderfully endless. Therefore, in terms of expression, designers also mix various rich creative media and cleverly connect each style and the intersection of imagination and reality with the playful voices of children. They deliberately let the toy plane originally made by children take off in the real environment as if it has come to life, breaking the boundaries between reality and imagination, symbolizing the spirit of children's channels that always makes the imagination come true.
