Yaser and Yasin Rashid Shomali's Shopare Residential communicates through a rich vocabulary of architectural symbolism and spatial meaning that transcends mere shelter to engage deeper cultural associations. The dramatic cantilever extending protectively over the approach below evokes archetypal threshold symbolism, creating a liminal zone between exterior and interior realms that marks the transition from public to private domains. This canopy gesture carries resonances of welcome and protection, suggesting sanctuary while simultaneously projecting confidence and presence outward. The angular geometry, with its sharp vertices and dynamic diagonal lines, may be interpreted as expressing forward momentum and progressive vision, the forms appearing to emerge from or thrust toward future possibilities rather than resting in static permanence. The zinc cladding, applied in diagonal patterns, introduces associations of tectonic movement and geological time, the material's natural tendency to develop protective patina over time suggesting durability and graceful aging. The strategic placement of glazing at the intersection of massive forms creates a symbolic eye or aperture, suggesting permeability, transparency, and connection between interior life and surrounding landscape. Warm wood accents function as humanizing elements within the predominantly mineral palette, their organic origins and warm tonality introducing associations of craft, natural materials, and domestic comfort. The relationship between built form and landscape, where wild grasses meet precise architectural edges, suggests philosophical engagement with nature-culture dialogues, positioning human habitation as continuous with rather than opposed to environmental context. The reflective surfaces throughout, from glazing to ground plane, multiply and extend the architectural presence, creating symbolic resonance between dwelling and world.
This minimalist architecture concept design, inspired by the bat (Shopare means bat in Gilan local language), offers a beautifully durable exterior of metal materials. Set on a hillside, it features a sleek long box shape that maximizes views and a central glass slice for unobstructed connection between indoors and outdoors. The unique parking under a bridge provides extra space, while natural materials like wood and stone create a warm, elegant atmosphere inside.
