Wu's architectural landscape creation encodes profound symbolic meaning through its commanding circular geometry, a form carrying universal significance across cultures as representation of wholeness, completion, and cosmic order. The central void of manicured lawn functions as a contemporary interpretation of the sacred temenos or consecrated ground, a cleared space set apart from quotidian urban activity where community gathering rituals might unfold with appropriate reverence. The concentric rings emanating from this center echo mandala structures and ripple patterns, suggesting the radiant energy that flows outward from places of centered intention, while the embracing curves of pathways and terraces create gestures of welcome and protection. The transparent pavilion positioned at the compositional edge rather than center represents a sophisticated inversion of hierarchical spatial traditions, suggesting that in contemporary community contexts, the gathering of people holds greater symbolic weight than architectural monuments. The stepped amphitheater seating invokes classical theatrical precedents while adapting their form for democratic assembly, the gentle curves suggesting inclusive embrace rather than hierarchical arrangement.
