Guo Xiangyu's spatial composition operates as a sophisticated exercise in phenomenological design where the swimming pool becomes a threshold between constructed reality and imagined landscape, the water surface functioning as a liminal membrane separating the bodily experience of immersion from the visual transcendence offered by the mountain panorama. The ceiling's pronounced linearity encodes temporal progression and directed movement, its converging parallels guiding consciousness along a meditative journey from present moment toward infinite horizon, while simultaneously grounding the space through material weight and earthen chromatic warmth. The mountain landscape mural activates deep cultural archetypes of spiritual retreat, scholarly contemplation, and harmony between humanity and nature, referencing centuries of literati painting tradition where misty peaks symbolized philosophical transcendence and retreat from worldly concerns. Water itself carries profound symbolic resonance across traditions as element of purification, renewal, reflection, and the unconscious depths of psyche, the pool thus functioning as both physical cleansing vessel and metaphorical mirror for inner contemplation. The vertical amber light fixtures along the right wall suggest domestic warmth, human presence, and the invitation of shelter, their warm golden emission counterbalancing the cool ethereal distance of the landscape vision. The strategic integration of living plants introduces symbols of vitality, growth, and organic time into the geometric architectural framework, their bright verdant presence affirming life force within the meditative stillness. The lobby continues the essence of traditional Chinese architecture by combining a simple and natural style with modern elements. The restaurant showcases black, white, and high-end gray tones with ink elements infused into every detail.The display cabinet presents delicate dishes with light and shadow. The wooden, dark-colored Chinese mortise and tenon structure ceiling in the swimming pool area echoes with white. The overall space showcases the simplicity of Eastern aesthetics.
