Infinite Bloom Public Art

Golden A' Design Award Winner 2024

The ascending spiral form of this public artwork activates deep archetypal associations with growth, transcendence, and the vital energies underlying natural creation. The intertwining ribbon structure may evoke the double helix of genetic material, suggesting the fundamental encoding of life itself and the perpetual transmission of biological information across generations. Within botanical symbolism, the unfurling upward movement resonates with flower imagery across numerous cultural traditions, where the bloom represents spiritual awakening, the unfolding of consciousness, beauty emerging from apparent stillness, and the generous offering of nature toward the sun and sky. The choice of stainless steel as material carries its own symbolic weight, suggesting permanence, resilience, purity through resistance to corrosion, and the transformation of raw earth elements through human ingenuity into forms of lasting beauty. The reflective quality of the polished surfaces may be read as a meditation on reciprocity between artwork and environment, as the sculpture does not simply occupy space but actively receives and transforms the colors and light of its surroundings, becoming a kind of visual dialogue partner with sky, sun, and landscape. The vertical orientation traditionally signifies aspiration, spiritual ascent, the axis mundi connecting earthly and celestial realms, and the human impulse toward transcendence. The lattice structure, with its interplay between solid presence and open void, invites contemplation of the Buddhist concept of form and emptiness as interdependent, or the philosophical observation that identity emerges through relationship rather than isolation. The positioning on a grass mound enhances associations with natural emergence, as though the sculptural form grows organically from the earth even while its material announces human creative intervention. The title Infinite Bloom reinforces these interpretations, pointing toward growth without limit, beauty that perpetually renews, and the eternal present moment of flowering that exists outside chronological time.

The 10 meter tall stainless steel sculpture stands tall and proud on the highest point of the company's square green space. It is like a thriving, vibrant tree, symbolizing the company's thriving development and the spirit of pursuing excellence. The sculpture is composed of four seamlessly flowing stainless steel arc-shaped units, and interlaces in the vertical space to create a concise, smooth, and dynamic form, converging into a force that continuously extends toward the sky, filling people with expectations for the future.
