The illuminated city model functions as a threshold object, a tangible microcosm that prepares visitors for engagement with the macrocosmic digital projections beyond, establishing a phenomenological progression from the graspable to the sublime that echoes traditional sacred architecture's journey from narthex to sanctuary. The chromatic symbolism proves particularly resonant, with cool cyan and blue tones traditionally associated with technology, rationality, and infinite space serving as the environmental foundation, while warm amber and golden nodes scattered throughout evoke human presence, warmth, and meaning within otherwise cold systematic structures, this temperature dialogue suggests the humanization of technological infrastructure through thoughtful design intervention. The constellation-like distribution of data points across the projection surface activates deep archetypal associations with celestial mapping and cosmic contemplation, positioning information networks as contemporary equivalents of the heavens that humans have always sought to read and interpret for meaning and orientation. Smart Data X You, From the origin of data to smart applications. This exhibition in the House of Digitalisation in Tulln, Austria, features an overall didactic concept that guides visitors through the narrative in a comprehensible way. Eight multimedia stations explain how data is created and processed. Design Studio Responsive Spaces was tasked with the creation, design and development of this immersive exhibition. They made the interconnectedness of everybody's digital environment tangible and provided visitors with low-barrier knowledge from the world of smart data utilizing interactivity.
