David Tao Soul Power II Concert

Golden A' Design Award Winner 2025

B'IN LIVE CO., LTD.'s concert production deploys a sophisticated symbolic vocabulary that transforms the arena space into a temple of collective celebration, employing universally recognized iconography to foster emotional communion among thousands of participants. The central peace symbol, rendered in warm solar yellow against the cool celestial blue environment, functions as a contemporary mandala representing wholeness, harmony, and the integration of individual consciousness into collective experience. The stacked typography spelling "LOVE" operates as both literal message and archetypal invocation, transforming abstract emotion into monumental architectural presence that sanctifies the gathering space. The chromatic opposition between warm yellow-gold and cool ultramarine blue activates deep cultural associations with solar and lunar energies, masculine and feminine principles, active and receptive states that together suggest balanced wholeness. Crown-like geometric forms flanking the stage evoke regalia symbolism, positioning the audience as participants in a celebration of shared sovereignty and collective triumph. The cascading confetti functions as ritual precipitation, blessing the assembled community with particles of reflected light that suggest abundance, celebration, and the transformation of ordinary space into sacred occasion. The sea of raised hands holding illuminated devices creates a visual metaphor for individual lights contributing to collective radiance, each small screen becoming a votive offering within the larger ceremonial context. The peace hand gesture at center stage amplifies the symbolic program, its warm yellow coloration suggesting golden virtue and its digital scale transforming personal gesture into communal proclamation. The overall design orchestrates archetypal symbols of love, peace, unity, and celebration into an immersive environment where individual attendees become participating elements within a larger symbolic organism, experiencing the ancient human ritual of collective gathering through contemporary technological mediation.

In 2003, David Tao's Soul Power concert was hailed as legendary. Eleven years later, Soul Power II was conceived to recapture the essence of live music and the artist's soul. More than a remake or upgrade, Soul Power II is driven by a profound understanding of the artist's unique spirit, aiming to craft a heartfelt experience for modern concert goers. Inspired by the Tower of Babel, the stage features an 8 meter turntable with eight columns, using love to connect people globally. The flexible segments and dynamic stage design create an immersive, powerful musical journey.
