Greenberg Traurig Poland Office

Silver A' Design Award Winner 2025

The symbolic architecture of Barnaba Grzelecki's Office environment operates through carefully orchestrated material and spatial vocabularies that encode professional values of stability, sophistication, and purposeful encounter. The quartet of modernist lounge chairs arranged in balanced pairs evokes democratic dialogue and considered exchange, their iconic design heritage referencing the Bauhaus tradition's marriage of craft excellence and functional clarity, suggesting an institution that values both heritage and innovation. The X-form chrome bases create repeated crossing vectors that may symbolize intersection, connection, and the meeting of diverse perspectives that characterizes professional collaboration. The central marble table functions as symbolic altar of commerce and conversation, its dark surface with white veining suggesting the interplay of clarity within complexity, truth revealed within solid matter. The ascending sculpture commands particular symbolic weight, its faceted geometric planes potentially representing the multifaceted nature of professional service, growth through structured development, or the transformation of raw material into refined form through skilled intervention. The warm timber ceiling overhead may evoke shelter, organic warmth, and natural order, creating a canopy of welcome above the more formal geometric organization below. The fluted pilasters reference classical architectural vocabulary traditionally associated with justice, permanence, and institutional authority, here reinterpreted through contemporary restraint. The biophilic presence of living plants introduces symbols of growth, vitality, and ongoing nourishment. Abstract artworks featuring flowing organic forms balance the architectural precision, perhaps suggesting creative thinking, fluid adaptation, and the human dimensions that animate professional frameworks.

The architects from Bit Creative studio designed the interior of the Greenberg Traurig office in Warsaw's Varso Tower. The space follows a minimalist approach and features a sculptural element in the entrance area, a layout that promotes a sense of privacy in most rooms, and artworks by Polish artists. The design incorporates materials such as copper, stone, and wood, complemented by details, lighting, and a structured ceiling composition.
