Silver A' Design Award Winner 2025
Cylindrical geometry carries profound archetypal resonance within design culture, the column and tube representing fundamental structural efficiency while evoking classical architectural vocabulary that spans millennia of human building practice. Seyedsajad Jalalsadat's Infinito Light employs this primal form as its central compositional element, the slender vertical stems suggesting uprightness, aspiration, and the dignified bearing of architectural supports, while the articulated spotlight heads introduce dynamic potential that transforms static column into responsive instrument. The tripartite presentation activates symbolic associations with completeness and balanced diversity, three representing synthesis and resolution across numerous cultural traditions, here manifested as the complete chromatic spectrum from white through gray to black. The material trinity—matte white suggesting purity and potential, matte black evoking sophistication and absorption, polished chrome embodying reflection and technological achievement—may be understood as exploring the full range of surface relationships between object and light, from diffusion through absorption to mirror-like return. The diagonal articulation of each spotlight head creates a visual gesture that might evoke attentiveness or focused inquiry, the lamp appearing to direct its gaze with intentional purpose rather than passive presence. The graduated pedestal heights establish visual hierarchy while suggesting progression or transformation, the eye traveling upward to the central black apex before descending to the chrome iteration, creating a rhythmic journey through the composition. The navy blue pedestal introduces chromatic warmth within the otherwise achromatic scheme, potentially signifying the integration of emotional resonance within rational formal systems, the cool depth of this hue suggesting trustworthiness and stability within design discourse. Negative space functions symbolically as breathing room and contemplative pause, the generous white margins inviting meditative attention rather than visual overwhelm, embodying minimalist philosophy that sees emptiness as presence rather than absence.
Infinito redefines outdoor and indoor lighting with its 360 degree rotatable head, eliminating the need for multiple fixtures by directing light precisely where needed. The waterproof design ensures reliability in all conditions, while its elegant infinity-inspired form merges aesthetics with functionality. Crafted with sustainable materials and innovative engineering, it creates eco-friendly and versatile lighting solutions, suitable for any environment requiring flexibility and style.
