The undulating profiles of these bands activate archetypal imagery of water in motion, suggesting wave forms frozen at the moment of their most graceful expression, transforming the building into a monument to the elemental forces that shape shorelines and erode stone. The warm ivory materiality carries connotations of precious substance, evoking associations with limestone, travertine, and other noble materials historically employed to signify permanence, refinement, and cultural achievement.
