The spatial choreography of WenLi Wu's Sales Center operates through a sophisticated symbolic vocabulary wherein the luminous sphere floating within the translucent partition may be interpreted as invoking lunar iconography carrying profound associations across multiple cultural traditions: the moon as symbol of reflection and contemplation, of cyclical renewal and transformation, of yin energy and receptive wisdom, of the passage through darkness toward illumination. This celestial presence, suspended between transparency and opacity, between visibility and veiling, suggests threshold states that traditionally mark significant transitions in human experience. The mirror-like floor surface extending below creates a symbolic axis mundi, a vertical column of meaning connecting celestial realms above with their chthonic reflections below, invoking ancient cosmological schemas wherein sacred spaces mediate between heaven and earth. The faceted crystalline base supporting the reception desk carries archetypal resonances of crystallization and transformation, the slow geological processes by which chaotic matter achieves ordered structure, while its sapphire blue tones traditionally signify wisdom, depth, and infinite possibility across numerous iconographic systems. The extreme chromatic restraint, limiting the palette essentially to black, white, and concentrated blue, follows symbolic traditions wherein the absence of chromatic noise creates conditions for contemplative clarity and spiritual receptivity. The horizontal extension of the cantilevered desk element suggests gesture and welcome, an architectural hand reaching toward entering visitors across the reflective void. The curved soffit element introducing organic geometry into the otherwise rectilinear envelope may be read as invoking natural forms within constructed space, softening the passage between exterior world and interior sanctuary. The overall spatial composition, with its careful balance of void and presence, reflection and substance, invites interpretation as a contemporary translation of sacred architectural principles into commercial context.
If the sales office does not treat the sales as a kind of mission, it would endow more possibilities for space, so the design will be infused by more inspiration and less limit. The building is not only a sales office but also a mini-type library. The designer hopes the building can make progress and have self-actualization after accomplishing the simple mission instead of still remaining at a level just to solve simple function. Furthermore, the designer also expects that it can be given personal and social value, which can inspire people and transfer warmth and energy in the future.
